Jimmy Jazz and Burlington Sound of Music
G'day folks,
We'll be playing at the Jimmy Jazz in Guelph tomorrow (Thursday) night. It's a free show, cheap beer, right downtown and above all else we are fortunate enough to be playing once again with Toronto's own Whale Tooth. High energy, incredible musical and certainly an opener you won't want to miss.
Saturday we'll be playing at Burlington Sound of Music Festival which is also free. Amongst the likes of Hey Rosetta!, The Arkells, our friends from Hamilton, The Ascot Royals, Elliott Brood, Great Lake Swimmers...and that's just the Saturday. We'll be playing the Hyundai community stage at 5:00 pm!
Hopefully the weather holds out. Rain or shine, come one come all.
Tons of love,
Dancehall

Oakville, Relay for Life w. Alright Alright
We had an awesome time. The rain held out for most of our set and gave out just before we finished. It certainly wasn't a problem for any event goers-- everyone stayed on the track or in the field taking in the atmosphere, the music and walking for a cause. Alright Alright as per usual were excellent although I didn't get to catch their entire set.
We're hoping to get back to Oakville sometime before the end of the summer. Definitely a great night.

Erin Oak Kids Fundraiser @ On the Curve
Had so much fun in Mississauga tonight. We played for the Erin Oak Kids foundation fundraiser to an amazing crowd of families and friends.
Tunny was with us which made things even better.
Huge thanks to Bill Murrey (not that Bill Murrey), Pierre, Chris, Erica, Lisa and Katherin. Such a great time.

Dear Website,
I am so sorry for being so neglegent... I feel as though these cold months have driven a wedge between us..
I hope that the damage isn't permanent and that our relationship can once again be rekindled by the fires in our hearts.
Forever yours,
Dancehall

Home From Hillside
We had a blast. Thanks to everyone who showed up to the island stage on Sunday, you guys were an amazing crowd to play to! For those of you who couldn't make it to the festival this year to avoid the thousands of tons of mud, and litres of rain that fell on the island, I hope you all had a great weekend in the dry protection of your homes. I may be jumping back and forth here but bravo to those who stayed the weekend and stood strong against the elements!
We made some good pals with Josh Gabriel, The Arkells and a few other musicans. Mike, myself and Xandre were fortunate enough to find ourselves jamming on stage Friday night with likes of Kristin Sweetland, Josh Gabriel, Ambre Mclean, Rock Plaza Central and some other master musicians.
All in all an excellent weekend at Hillside 2009

Website, Hillside, Merchandise, and More!
Hey Folks,
Finally Dancehallfreeforall.com is working! This new addition to the Dancehall networking system will be your one stop directory to everything Dancehall!
In other news, we were on the cover of the Guelph Mercury on Saturday July 18th in anticipation for next weekends Hillside Festival. A huge thanks to Rob O'Flannigan for a great front cover spread. Also, in the editorial section was a very flattering blurb about the band, so thanks to the editor!
Hillside is fast approaching. We'll be on the island stage at 1pm on Sunday right after Gospel Hour (another performances that is consistantly brilliant each year.) Myself and possibly a few other Dancehall members will also be jamming on the Island stage Friday night at 6pm to open the festival with the likes of Josh Gabriel, local vocal virtuouso Ambre Mclean, Rock Plaza Central, Kristin Sweetland and more! It's going to be a great year with a surprise headline that I'm sure none of us will want to miss. Come check us out on Sunday and make sure to party with us for the rest of the weekend!
At the festival we will hve a brand new batch of mens and womens tees and our new album 9-5 Lives for sale! It gets better. We'll also have lots of business cards with a secret password written on them. Bring the card to this site to get your hands on and ears wrapped around two brand new Dancehall Free for All songs! "Shameless" and "Kelsey Tells Me," will be only a few of the new songs included in our set at Hillside, so make sure to keep an ear out for lots of new material!
That's all for now! Stay tuned!

Bass Player!
Hey everyone,
I forgot to mention that we are currently looking for a new bass player. Mark will be leaving the band come September for personal reasons and we need someone to fill his shoes. If you're interested in touring out east in october (more news coming soon) writing, recording, practicing, touring west in the spring (more news coming soon) then give us a shout.
Write us at Dancehallfreeforall@gmail.com! We'd love to talk!
